At the Greek School of Coventry, we believe that learning never ends, which is why it is never too late to start learning a new language! Our adult students follow a fun, easy to learn curriculum specifically tailored to their level and needs so why not join them?
The Greek language is steeped in rich history, with roots as far back as the thirteenth century BCE through the Mycenaean civilisation. It holds an important place in the histories of Europe, with the longest documented history of any other language of the Indo-European family of languages and 34 centuries of written records, so surely, this is a huge legacy for all of modern civilisation to keep and to enrich!
Greek sounds elegant, melodic and sophisticated. It has a very good balance between vowels and consonents. Despite the fact that grammar rules and syntax are difficult, the vocabulary is endless and you can create new words out of nothing! Also someone who learns Greek doesn’t have to make an effort for an accent! If you want to learn a language that sounds unique, then Greek is the one for you! It is amazing how many Greek words have influenced many foreign languages.
Our curriculum includes conversational Greek, invaluable for those holidays in Greece and the Greek Islands.
At The Greek School of Coventry, adult Greek language lessons are available at beginners’ and intermediate levels. Lessons cover Speaking/communicating in Greek, Greek grammar, reading, writing, and culture and civilisation.
